Auditorium Rental

SAR is proud to offer the Mack Powell Auditorium to businesses and private individuals wishing to host meetings and parties. The auditorium is available on a first-come, first serve basis, and may be reserved up to one year in advance. The facilities are available for:

• Business meetings
• Classes, seminars and forums
• Wedding receptions
• Awards ceremonies

Facilities are not available for underage parties (for those less than 21 years of age).

Rental Policies

• Insurance: Contract signing parties must provide liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 naming the Sacramento Association of REALTORS as an additionally insured a minimum of 30 days before the event.
• Deposit: At the time of reservation, renting parties must provide a $500 deposit to hold the requested date. $250 of the deposit may be refunded after the event.
• Payment: Renting parties must pay in full 30 days before the event. If payment is not received, SAR reserves the right to release the date to waiting parties. Deposits will be forfeited.

Rates

The auditorium is available on an hourly basis. Rates are based on full or partial auditorium usage, and include standard equipment.

Discounts are available for SAR members, non-profit organizations and weekday use.

FULL AUDITORIUM
1-4 hours $ 650.00
Each additional hour $ 100.00
Full day (8 hours) (Monday - Friday only) $ 1050.00
Saturdays (up to 6 hours for event) $ 850.00

HALF AUDITORIUM (Monday through Friday only)
1-4 hours $ 450.00
Each additional hour $ 60.00
Full day (8 hours) $ 650.00

Set up and Clean up

When possible, set-up times are scheduled at the renter’s convenience. All rentals include:

• Two (2) free hours of set-up (decorating) time
• One (1) free hour of clean-up time (immediately following the event)

Each additional hour of set-up or clean-up time is billed in $50 increments. A $50 charge will be assessed for multiple set-ups during the same event.

Discounts

SAR offers the following discount periods. All discounts are based on SAR discretion.

• Friday evenings and Saturdays – 20% discount to SAR members for personal use (family or real estate functions) and to non-profit community service organizations for fundraising purposes
• Weekdays – 35% discount for SAR members and 20% discount for non-members

Rental Payment Due Dates

Rental fees are due 30 days prior to the event. SAR reserves the right to deny use of the premises to any renter whose rent is not paid in full.

Equipment

Auditorium rental rates include standard equipment. Additional equipment and services are available for an added cost. The Facilities Manager will confirm your needs at registration so that the auditorium is set up accordingly.

Standard Equipment

Use of the following standard equipment is included in the auditorium rental:

• Stage (none, or 1st or 2nd levels)
• Kitchen, including dry storage, refrigerator, sink, stove/oven and ice machine (no utensils, dishes or linens)
• Hardwood dance floor area
• Portable bar
• Tables and chairs (up to 12 people per table)
• Restrooms
• Access to data/voice lines (weekdays only)
• Media screen (weekdays only)

Optional Equipment

The following optional items are available for an additional charge:

• Coffee/tea service
• Variety of microphones/microphone stands (weekdays only)
• LCD/overhead projectors (weekdays only)
