SAR Reaches Out to Sac City Students

Members of the SAR Community Outreach Committee joined 20 other companies and organizations at the Sac City Community College Spring Career Fair. Unlike other booths, who were searching for possible candidates for employment, SAR and its volunteers instead provided information about starting a career in real estate and the many benefits associated with it.

SAR Volunteers handed out information on what mandatory classes need to be completed to be eligible to apply for real estate license. Many of the career fair attendees were surprised to learn that all the classes are availble through the Los Rios Community College District. The LRCCD  includes the American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and Sac City Community Colleges.

The Volunteers also provided the DRE “Instructions To License Applicants” pamphlet which lays out all the requirements needed to “…obtain and maintain a California Real Estate License.” Also included with the information was pamphlet listing the benefits associated with becoming a REALTOR®. The SAR Volunteers who donated their time for this community outreach included Bernie Mnichowicz, Garrett Abben, Kele Barragan and Kyle Thompson. Thank you for your commitment to SAR and “Connecting The Community!”
