Introducing NAR's New Consumer Website

On November 13, NAR’s Communications Committee previewed for members their new consumer website – www.houselogic.com. The site was created as a platform for NAR to further improve consumer perceptions of REALTORS; to become the one, comprehensive voice of real estate; to support members’ marketing efforts with consumers; and to extend the REALTORS’ relationship with consumers through the entire lifecycle of homeownership.

Due to its ethical and unbiased nature, HouseLogic will be a reliable choice for consumers to find credible information and tools to maintain, protect and increase the value of their homes.  The target audience is “responsible, proactive” homeowners – those who are practical, like to be well informed, prefer sites that provide a fresh perspective.

Features include:

  • an ability to personalize content
  • a “binder” to keep up with household projects like winterization, energy audits, heating system maintenance, etc.
  • a Badge Gallery for making progress by completing items, reading articles and taking quizzes
  • Smart home buying and selling section
  • Advocacy section (e.g. for setting up a neighborhood watch program, stopping speeders in the neighborhood, starting a community garden, etc.)
  • Ways to add value to your home

As a REALTOR, you are invited to review the beta launch of this exciting site. NAR staff will integrate your comments and suggestions and conduct a “hard” launch on February 15, 2010. Once the final site is active, feel free to use content from the site in your newsletters, on your website or on your Facebook page.

We have needed this kind of website for years.
I would love to do a review, and help other Agents include your Content in their Sites.
Are you planning on incorporating a RSS Feed so that we may use your information directly, even on our Blogs ?
