I learned this news as I was interviewing Marge Reid of Lyon Real Estate. She qualified for this club in 1969, which was the first year she was in real estate. Soon thereafter, the name of the club was changed to the Masters Club because the public mistakenly thought the REALTORS® were earning one million dollars!
Marge has continued in her strong sales and has qualified for Membership every year. She spends 50-60 hours per week working and credits all of her business to her satisfied clients sending her referrals. She also gives back to the community by serving on the public relations committee at UC Davis Medical Center. Three of her family members are also Lyon agents with over 20 years in the business.
Marge has 6 children and 13 grandchildren. Her goal has been to work hard so that she can plan family trips. Her favorite was a recent trip to Disneyland where she surprised everyone as 26 family members boarded a plane to spend Christmas at Disneyland.
In her spare time, she enjoys golfing. For Marge, the real enjoyment of her long career in real estate is solving problems – she thrives on these challenges and says that the more complicated the problems the better. She hasn’t lost her enthusiasm for real estate even in these challenging times.

How would you like to give your buyer or seller an Auxiliary Membership in the REALTOR® organization?
What if that Membership included a basket from you with gift cards and discounts worth $250?
What if SAR set up informative pages on our website that your customers and clients could reach by linking through your website?
And what if SAR sent quarterly follow ups to your customers and clients with pertinent information and useful coupons as though they were coming from you?
In response to a challenge by the National Association of REALTORS® for local associations to come up with Game Changing Ideas, SAR submitted plans for an Auxiliary Membership and was one of 14 selected from over 200 applicants.
That selection gives us a grant and the services of a national consultant to develop and implement the Idea by May when NAR meets again and will expect a report on the Auxiliary Membership.
Benefits to You
By enrolling your consumer upon their signing of a listing agreement or buyer agency agreement, you will be given the $250 gift basket and an Auxiliary Membership card to present to them. Through your site, they will gain Auxiliary Member only access to sacrealtor.org where we will post relevant housing statistics, market conditions, tips for buying or selling their home, the steps they can expect to go through with you in the transaction, news of legislation affecting their private property rights and a look at Sacramento, its schools and amenities.
