I was speaking last week with Barbara Harsch, the Sacramento Association of Realtors President-Elect, and she asked me to write a blog post about a the new “Mortgage Protection Program” just introduced by the California Association of Realtors Housing Affordability Fund.
Some of you may remember from a previous post by Janelle Fallan, the Sacramento Association of Realtors raised $22,904 for CARHAF in 2008.

It would be difficult to find a real estate professional who doesn’t understand the value of a website, and the need to have some type of MLS search displayed on it. Yet, a great many of them also complain that they get few or no leads from their websites.
First, if you’re not using some type of analytic or statistics software to track your site’s visitors and the pages they view, you may not even know where you need to concentrate for improvement. Once you know what’s going on, you can do what is necessary to make it better.
How many people are visiting your IDX search page? How long do they stay there, as searches usually make it one of the “stickiest” pages on your site? Few of us would deny that we need to improve these statistics. But, how do we do that?

Do you have any idea how thrilled the Monks were when the printing press was invented? They could put up the quill pens and get over the old version of carpal tunnel. As a real estate professional in today’s Internet world, you should be ecstatic with the free tools available.
The suite of tools from Google just keep getting better. You don’t have to be a tech geek to use them either. If you’ll just take what you get from this article and implement it, you’ll save hours of your time every week, serve your clients better, get more business, and be an email guru. Let’s see what it’s all about.
