Free Online Ethics Training
(www.realtor.org/mempolweb.nsf/pages/onlineethicstraining) There are two online ethics training courses available on REALTOR.org. Each course meets the specific criteria and learning objectives required for new or existing REALTORS®, as established by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). You must be a registered REALTOR.org user with a username and password to access the online training.
Real Estate Professional Assistant Training (REPA)
(www.professional-assistant.com) SAR offers the NAR REPA training on a periodic basis. Visit the REPA website for curriculum information. To find out about upcoming training dates, e-mail Judy Wegener.
Continuing Education Training Sites
Each of the following sites provides 12-hour and 45-hour continuing education courses. All courses are approved by the DRE.
Senior Real Estate Specialist Designation (SRES)
(www.seniorsrealestate.com) Senior Real Estate Specialists are REALTOR® qualified to meet the special needs and concerns of maturing Americans. A national program since 1998, the Senior Advantage Real Estate Council® (SAREC®) offers a specific designation, SRES®, to identify those members who have successfully completed its education program along with other perquisites. Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR)
(www.rebac.net) With over 40,000 members, REBAC is the largest association of real estate professionals focusing on all aspects of buyer representation. Over 30,000 ABR® designees have completed the REBAC course, passed the test and provided documentation of buyer agency experience. SAR offers this three-day course annually. Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI)
(www.edesignations.com) Members involved in residential real estate who want a solid base of information for their practice will want to participate in the REALTOR® Institute program and earn the GRI designation. SAR provides this training one Thursday each month. Contact Judy Wegener for more information.
Accredited Land Consultant (ALC)
(www.rliland.com) ALCs are the recognized experts in five specialized types of land brokerage transactions:
- Farms and ranches
- Undeveloped tracts of land
- Transitional and development land
- Subdivision and lot wholesaling
- Site selection and land parcels assemblage
Acquire valuable skills through educational offerings leading to the ALC designation.
