Budget Committee

The Budget Committee oversees SAR's financial affairs and budget.

Fall Conference & Expo

The Fall Conference Committee:

  • Helps plan the annual Fall Conference & Expo, including speaker selection, site layout and sponsorship recruitment.
  • Works cooperatively with Placer, El Dorado and Yolo County Association Members

  • CanTree is SAR's most important and highest profile charitable event.
  • Requires significant volunteer resources from September - December

  • Enhances community relationships
  • Identifies potential SAR and community partnerships

Education Committee

  • Oversees SAR's Education Program development by suggesting new courses and assisting in proposed class and instructor reviews
  • Helps with student registration and, at times, instructor introductions
  • Members serve as monitors during California Department of Real Estate (DRE) accredited classes
  • Helps market courses through public speaking opportunities and office visits

Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee

  • The Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee works to disseminate information and education, primarily through partnering and connecting with community-oriented, equal opportunity groups and organizations.
  • The committee’s primary focus is Fair Housing Month, which occurs each April.

  • Establishes policy and positions on governmental issues affecting REALTORS and residential property owners.
  • Policy authority independent of the Board of Directors.

Grievance Committee

On an as-needed basis, the Grievance Committee reviews ethical complaints to determine if hearings are warranted.

  • Promotes Sacramento area housing opportunities and affordability
  • Educates the real estate community and general public about housing opportunities

Public Issues Forum

The Public Issues Forum:

  • Serves as an open discussion forum and as a clearinghouse for issues
  • Real estate issues identified by the Legislative Committee will be forwarded to the Government Relations Committee for policy decisions and appropriate action by Staff, contracted lobbyist and volunteers

Political Action Trustees Committee

  • Responsible for solicitation, management and appropriation of revenues from the REALTOR® Action Fund (PAC).
  • Authority independent of the SAR Board of Directors.

Committee size: Not less than 10 REALTOR® Members who contribute to BORPAC at the $197 level

Professional Standards Committee

On an as-needed basis, the Professional Standards Committee convenes hearing tribunals to provide arbitration or to hear matters of alleged unethical conduct by SAR Members.

The Master's Club provides programs and services to enhance the competency, professionalism, and productivity of its members, and to recognize the achievements of top REALTORS® who have earned a level of excellence in real estate sales.

  • SAR's top producing agents who participate in networking and charitable activities
  • Members must meet the annual production criteria, submit their application and pay their annual dues
