Network: Join the SAR YPC on Facebook to get reminders and information about the monthly mixers, upcoming events and forums where you can come out to meet fellow young REALTOR® professionals, and of course network, network, network.

Educational Forums and Events: The YPC Educational Forums provide valuable and pertinent information about the industry and are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 AM at the Sacramento Association of REALTORS auditorium (2003 Howe Ave, Sacramento). YPC monthly networking mixers or no-host "Happy Hours" events offer the chance to network and benefit local charities and are held in various locations around town on the 4th Thursday of each month from 4:00-7:00 PM. Members of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to attend YPC Forums and Events.

YPC Gives Back: Each quarter the YPC holds a fundraising event to raise funds for a local charitable organization. The events are fun, high energy festivities where all proceeds go directly to help people in need. By reaching out to REALTORS®, Affiliates and members of the community we raised over $11,250 in 2009.

Voting Committee: The YPC's Voting Committee is the leadership team in place responsible for planning the Council's forums, events, and volunteer opportunities for the year. The 2009 Voting Committee Members are: Rico Rivera, Chair; Erin Attardi, Vice Chair; and members: Nikki Chapman, Cathie Eason, Jessica Lombardo, Alyssa Lozano, Rob McQuade, Drazen Misirlic, Heather Pearce, Kellie Swayne, and Antonio Yepez.

The YPC is a platform for young professionals to volunteer, network, learn more about the real estate industry, join SAR committees, fundraise, and make a positive difference in their community. SAR's Young Professionals are dedicated men and women who want to be involved in helping our Association, our community and grow professionally.

Members of the YPC are typically in their twenties and thirties, however, many who attend the YPC functions are just young at heart – and everyone is welcome. Most live and/or work in the greater Sacramento area, but all are dedicated professionals and who want to increase their business, meet great people, and give back to their community!

Members of the Young Professionals Council will:

• Plan and execute fundraisers
• Offer their support for various events
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Association's mission and services
• Implement stated goals and mission on time and within budget guidelines

Voting Committee Members demonstrate their support by:

• Volunteer their time and talent at events
• Attend Council meetings

Serve terms of 1 year, renewable at the end of the term. Terms will run from January to December developing resources and contacts to support SAR's activities.
