Are you a young professional looking to get more involved with the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® (SAR), network with some real movers and shakers, or help raise money and awareness for various local charities? The SAR Young Professionals Council (YPC) is comprised of bright young leaders from the Sacramento area and features many ways to become involved.

Network: Join the SAR YPC on Facebook to get reminders and information about the monthly mixers, upcoming events and forums where you can come out to meet fellow young REALTOR® professionals, and of course network, network, network.

Educational Forums and Events: The YPC Educational Forums provide valuable and pertinent information about the industry and are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:00 AM at the Sacramento Association of REALTORS auditorium (2003 Howe Ave, Sacramento). YPC monthly networking mixers or no-host "Happy Hours" events offer the chance to network and benefit local charities and are held in various locations around town on the 4th Thursday of each month from 4:00-7:00 PM. Members of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to attend YPC Forums and Events.

YPC Gives Back: Each quarter the YPC holds a fundraising event to raise funds for a local charitable organization. The events are fun, high energy festivities where all proceeds go directly to help people in need. By reaching out to REALTORS®, Affiliates and members of the community we raised over $11,250 in 2009.

The YPC Gala Dance will be held on November 12th at the Sacramento Association of REALTORS® Mack Powell Auditorium.

The YPC is a platform for young professionals to volunteer, network, learn more about the real estate industry, join SAR committees, fundraise, and make a positive difference in their community. SAR's Young Professionals are dedicated men and women who want to be involved in helping our Association, our community and grow professionally.

Members of the YPC are typically in their twenties and thirties, however, many who attend the YPC functions are just young at heart – and everyone is welcome. Most live and/or work in the greater Sacramento area, but all are dedicated professionals and who want to increase their business, meet great people, and give back to their community!

Members of the Young Professionals Council:

• Are members of SAR
• Attend YPC Educational Forums and/or Mixers
• Volunteer their time and talent at YPC events
• May serve on Sub-Committee
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Association's mission and services

Voting Committee Members demonstrate their support by:

• Plan and execute fundraisers, forums and mixers 
• Volunteer their time and talent at YPC events
• Attend Council meetings
• Implement stated goals and mission on time and within budget guidelines
• Serve terms of 1-2 years, renewable at the end of the term. Terms will run from January to December developing resources and contacts to support SAR's activities.
