Masters Club Membership Application Process

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible for 2009 Masters Club Membership, you must meet the 2009 qualifying amount and provide the required documentation listed below to SAR by January 29, 2010.

2009 Qualifying Amount

$3 million in production AND 8 closed ends
OR
30 closed ends

Documents Required

VERY IMPORTANT: Before you start the application process, thoroughly read the Masters Club Standing Rules. Incomplete applications can mean Membership disqualification.

  1. You must submit both pages of the Masters Club Application Form.
  2. Sign and have your broker sign the back page of the application.
  3. Staple your business card to the back page of the application form.
  4. Attach a check written to SAR for the annual dues of $65 plus plaque or year plate if ordering.
  5. Attach an MLS Report (see below for instructions on producing a Masters Club Report from the MLS) and/or Masters Club Verfication Spreadsheet Form (for properties not in the MLS).
  6. IF APPLICABLE - submit a New Home/Non-MLS Sale Verification Form for each new home/non-MLS sale with the proper documentation. We recommend you make several copies of this form before starting. You will also need to use this form if the MLS print out has the wrong data.

*To save the Excel file to your personal computer:

  1. Right-click the "Masters Club Verification Spreadsheet Form" link. A pop-up menu displays.
  2. Select "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As" (FireFox). A "Save As" dialog box displays.
  3. Navigate to the location on your computer where you would like to save the file.
  4. Click Save.

MLS Report

To make the process of documenting your production easier, the Masters Club Steering Committee and MetroList have collaborated to create a special report in Prospector. If you provide this report with a total, you do not need to supply a spreadsheet or full page print-out for each property.

Below are the steps to do this:

In Prospector:

  1. Go to "Search | Standard"
  2. Select "Property class or classes" (e.g. residential, residential income, etc.)
  3. Select "Sold from 01/01/09 thru 12/31/09 (or leave blank for today's date)"
  4. Input Listing Agent ID
  5. Input Selling Agent ID (be sure to select the "OR" between the two)
  6. Enter
  7. Check box to select all listings/sales found
  8. Go to "Reports"
  9. Choose "Masters Club Report" (scroll down and check Masters Club)
  10. Click on "Run Reports"

Be sure to print the report in landscape mode (horizontally)

  1. If there is no total at the bottom of the report, you must supply a calculator tape or spreadsheet with a total.
